Benefit for Typhoon Haiyan Relief

Benefit for Typhoon Haiyan Relief
Tyler Hayford, a local 17-year-old and award-winning pianist, will perform a special solo piano concert to benefit the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. One hundred percent of the ticket sales from the event, which features music by J.S. Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven and Sergei Rachmaninoff, will go directly to Philippine relief charities, which provide food, clean water and emergency shelter to millions of families in need. Hayford, who is now a junior at Pacific Collegiate School, was the principle violist of the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony. He is a frequent guest organist at Messiah Lutheran Church, and he routinely brings music to local senior centers. Jenna Brogan
