M/V Pindito $5990*
The Raja Ampat archipelago, also know as the Four Kings, is world renown for some of the best diving on the planet. Straddling the equator and set off the tip of New Guinea’s Bird’s Head Peninsula and located in the heart of the coral triangle, this area contains some of the richest underwater biodiversity in the world. Boasting healthy coral reefs teeming with fish life, Raja Ampat is a bucket list dive destination for any serious underwater lover.
We’ll be exploring the area aboard the legendary M/V Pindito, one of the very first yachts to dive and explore the archipelago. With over 30 years of discovery, owner and Captain Edi Frommenwiler has pioneered many of the Raja Ampat dive sites and has un-rivaled knowledge of the diving area allowing us to time currents and conditions well to have spectacular dives. The large crew of 20 aboard Pindito assure us a safe, comfortable experience with delicious food and luxury accommodations while we enjoy some of the best diving in the world.
Our trip is planned during the best season for diving in Raja Ampat- outside the South East monsoon season. Typically dry during this time of year, the seas are calmer and the visibility better allowing us access to the best diving spots of the archipelago. What to expect from Raja Ampat diving? Incredibly healthy and diverse reefs strew with hard and soft corals. Schools of reef fish so thick visibility is decreased. Wobegongs and Raja Ampat Epaulette walking sharks, endless macro subjects like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs, and schooling fish such as jacks and barracuda. Additionally, this is the season for mantas. Drift and muck diving. What’s included:
