Southern Channel Islands

Southern Channel Islands

August 12-17, 2027

Board after 5pm, depart approximately 8pm, on Aug 12. Return in the early morning hours of Aug 17.

$2350*

The Channel Islands hold a special place in my heart. They are the scene of historic exploration, of native island cultures, of mystery and tragedy, pirates and treasure, and of wonderful, rich marine ecosystems that provide amazing ocean experiences for the adventurous. It’s a wonder that most of the 40 million people in our State of California don’t know about them!

We’ll be exploring, weather and Navy dependent, the Southern Channel Islands of San Clemente, Santa Catalina, and Santa Barbara Island. These islands hold some of the best diving in the world. Big fish, little fish, marine mammals, lush kelp forests, prolific reefs, deep pinnacles and steep walls. Something for every diver.

Departing from H&M Landing in San Diego on the evening of Aug 12, we’ll venture offshore to experience this wonderful marine playground. An evening departure will return us to San Diego in the late early morning hours of Aug 17. Return time will be dependent upon the last island we are diving and ocean conditions. An early morning arrival will also allow for plenty of time for those who might choose to fly into San Diego to off gas residual nitrogen before boarding a departing flight.

This trip is not just about diving- bring your snorkle/freedive gear, paddle board or kayak, floaty or whatever you love to play with in the ocean.

This is a limited load trip with a maximum passenger load of 28.

Safety: The Vision is two owners removed from its catastrophic Truth Aquatics tenure. She has been retrofitted with a complete array a safety gear including two large, emergency exits direct to the weather deck, integrated alarm system through out the boat, a large battery charging case with automated fire extinguisher system, and a crew member solely dedicated to night watch duties. I have personally inspected the yacht and it’s safety systems since it was bought by the new owners.
